The Foundation of Nursing Studies (FoNS) is a UK-wide charity which believes that all individuals should experience health and social care as person-centred, safe and effective. This includes those who are receiving care and those who are giving care. We support nurses and nurse-led teams across all health and social care settings, helping them to lead and facilitate person-centred care, practice and ultimately the development of person-centred cultures.

FoNS works with international partners through communities of practice, helping to develop, share and implement the evidence-base that underpins our ways of working leading to transformations in people and practice.

Our work is funded by grants and direct commissions from health and care organisations, enabling us to offer a range of programmes from individual scholarships and awards to longer term fellowships and bespoke local and national programmes.
