Farrah Amjad has a BSc Hons in Speech and Language Therapy, a Postgraduate in Adult Nursing and a PGCE in Science for Secondary Education. Farrah currently works for Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust, as a Blended Roles Facilitator. Farrah is a positive role model, someone optimistic and creative, and is passionate about encouraging female Black, Asian, Minority & Ethnic (BAME) health care professionals, to pursue a career in senior roles. Farrah always aims high and possesses the determination to achieve the best possible results throughout, which is evident in both her professional and academic experience. Farrah has worked across health and social care services to implement a programme in which insulin administration and basic wound care have been delegated to care staff workers. That work has had a positive impact on district nurses, releasing their time so they can support patients with more-complex needs in the community. Farrah’s work was recognised at the Tameside Trust Awards in 2022 and she has also been awarded a Florence Nightingale Leadership Scholarship.
