Professor Ruth Endacott is the inaugural Director of Nursing and Midwifery at the National Institute for Heath and Care Research (NIHR). Prior to this appointment, Ruth was Professor of Clinical Nursing at University of Plymouth, UK and Monash University, Melbourne. Ruth has responsibility for providing professional leadership for nurses and midwives who are supporting, delivering or leading research, strategic leadership for nursing and midwifery within the NIHR, and encouraging more professionals to become involved in research. Ruth is Emeritus Professor at Monash University, Melbourne and Trustee/Director at the Intensive Care National Audit and Research Centre (ICNARC).
