Gerry has a long history of transformation and change in healthcare. Spanning three decades, he has worked clinically, managerially, and strategically to ensure care processes and outcomes are first and foremost. He led and evidenced the implementation of an electronic patient record and the benefits of using clinical devices to enhance safety while reducing documentation times, thus releasing time to care at a leading AHSC Centre in London. He is a clinical safety officer and has worked nationally and at trust level. At the national level, he has been the DH nursing policy lead and on the Royal College of Nursing Council and several boards.
