Mr Xabi Cathala is a senior lecturer and Deputy Head of the Nursing Department for the School of Health and Psychological Science at City, University of London. He is a registered nurse, specialising in Intensive Care Nursing. Born in France where he undertook his undergraduate studies. He moved to the UK 9 years ago, worked as a nurse and continued his education. During his practice, he found interest in teaching and learning, and join the higher education sector. His research and work are driven by his passion for education, research methods, information technology, equality and fairness. Those passions led him to undertake different projects within the School to develop teaching and learning and student experience, and he is a member of the equality, diversity and inclusion committee.
