David is currently Associate Professor and Academic Director of Overseas Campuses and Transnational Education (TNE) at Birmingham City University. He is an experienced Nursing academic and educator, with a background in post-qualifying healthcare education. David continues to work clinically, undertaking regular shifts within critical care. He is undertaking a PhD exploring the impact of error events within the ICU, and has research interests aligned to patient safety and work-force well-being. David is a National Board Member for the British Association of Critical Care Nurses (BACCN) and a previous Board Member for the European Federation of Critical Care Nursing Associations (EfCCNa).
