Yasmin is a 4th year Medical student at Imperial College London, intercalating in Management. She has been a passionate advocate for youth engagement in health and care research since she was 16. As an active member of both the CRN Strategic Public Involvement Group (SPIG) and PRC group, she provides insights and feedback to advance the NIHR's commitment to leading public involvement. Her journey, enriched by her time with YPAG Generation R in Liverpool and as a patient at Alder Hey Children's Hospital, underscores the importance of clinical research participation to enhance patient care and outcomes. Yasmin's collaborative efforts aim to tailor research to benefit young people and families effectively. Outside of research, her exceptional contributions have earned her three prestigious awards at university: Imperial College Union (ICU) Colours; ICU Outstanding Service Award, and St Mary’s Hospital Association Outstanding Service Award. As Academic Chair of Imperial College School of Medicine Students’ Union and having undertaken 34 society roles, including two presidencies, Yasmin continues to champion the cause of young voices in medical research and university life.
