Gemma Allen is currently the Matron for Critical Care at the RVI, Newcastle. She completed her nurse training in London, working in many of the London hospitals. She has spent the majority of her nursing career within critical care, working for nearly ten years at The Royal Marsden Critical Care Unit. She has also worked with highly specialised services, leading the nursing service for the National aHUS Service at the National Renal Complement Therapeutics Centre in Newcastle. She has a Masters in Intensive Care from St Georges School of Medicine.
