Cliff is a nurse consultant and educationalist specialising in Emergency Nursing. Cliff has post graduate qualifications in Emergency and Acute Medicine, infectious disease management and education. Cliff has published two books and regularly undertakes research activities and improvement projects that have resulted in several journal publications. He is currently completing a Doctorate level study focusing on factors that influence learning within the workplace. Cliff was nominated for the Nursing Times ‘Nurse Leader of the Year’ in 2021, which he went on to win. Cliff’s team were winners of the 2020 Nursing Times ‘Workforce Team of the Year’ and the HSJ ‘Best Acute Service Redesign’ awards in 2021 for their response to the challenges of COVID-19.
