Joan has over 37 years’ experience as a strategic nurse leader, consultant and educator in community children’s nursing services across London. Joan was an Associate Director for Health Services and Chief Nurse in Kingston until 2019. She now runs her independent consultancy company offers coaching, mentoring and career support. Joan is a 2018 Florence Nightingale Foundation Leadership Scholar. She is a Trustee and Fellow of the QNI. Joan is a multi-awardwinning nurse and received an OBE for services to children and nursing in the Queens’ Birthday honours’ list in 2013. Joan has a honorary doctorate from Middlesex University.
