I qualified as a direct entry midwife in 2003. Over the last 21 yrs I have worked for the NHS in a wide variety of maternity units.I have a particular interest and passion for education. Recently, I have moved into Medical Education, and I now work with a fantastic team that oversee the education of medical students on obstetric placements at George Eliot Hospital. I remain enthusiastic about midwifery and maintain my professional skills by taking on additional clinical shifts every month. I am both honoured and excited to be part of the Nursing Times Awards 2024.
