The amazing Nursing Times Awards 2026 are back and return to the JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane in London on Thursday 22 October 2026.

The awards bring together the nursing community to shine a light on the brightest talent in the profession and recognise those of you making nursing innovative, patient-focused and inclusive. It has never been more important to recognise the incredible contributions of you and your colleagues.

This year, the Nursing Times Awards will celebrate innovation, leadership and excellence across 25 categories, reflecting the full breadth of nursing and midwifery practice. From mental health and cancer care to community, primary care, public health, technology and inclusive practice, the awards recognise outstanding work across all settings. We will also honour individuals who truly stand out, with the prestigious Nurse of the Year, Nurse Leader of the Year and Midwife of the Year awards recognising those who go above and beyond in their day-to-day roles to make a lasting difference.

The awards are open to entries from individuals and teams, or nominations from those who wish to highlight a nurse or team who they believe deserves recognition. It provides you with the perfect opportunity to congratulate your peers, leaders and the brightest talent entering the profession.

We are also delighted to announce that HCA Healthcare, Medline, Nuffield Health and Unison are the first sponsors confirmed for the 2026 Nursing Times Awards. They will be partnering with the Nursing Times Awards brand receiving regular coverage in the build-up to the event. We have a limited number of sponsorship opportunities remaining. In the past our sponsors and supporters have included London South Bank University, NIHR, NHS Professionals, ACP, IPS, REX-24 and many more.

Congratulations to the winners! A heartfelt thank you to all the brilliant individuals and teams who submitted entries across our award categories. This year, we were thrilled to receive a record-breaking 750+ submissions. The standard was exceptionally high, making the judges' task both challenging and inspiring. We're truly grateful for their dedication, time, and expertise in selecting our 2025 finalists. The main event was held at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane in London on Wednesday 22 October 2025.

"The Nursing Times Awards is one of my favourite nights of the year. It is always a genuine honour to share an evening with such inspiring and innovative members of the nursing and midwifery professions, and to celebrate their achievements and positive impact on patient care. In 2024, I was especially pleased to see the first ever trophies given out for new category Sustainability in Nursing and Midwifery and the renamed King's Award for Integrated Approaches to Care.
