Debbie’s nursing experience spans 38 years. Having completed her nursing training at Lewisham Hospital, South London, she went on to work on a variety of wards building up experience across a range of disciplines including accident and emergency, x-ray theatres and paediatrics.
In 1997, Debbie moved into primary care, as a practice nurse. On completion of the specialist primary care practitioner degree, she worked as nurse practitioner and community diabetic specialist nurse.
Debbie is now nurse consultant in primary care. Based at NHS Lewisham Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), this is the first role of its kind in England.
Debbie is the Editor-in-chief for the Practice Nursing Journal and is a member of the London region NHS England GPN 10 Point Plan board.
