Linda Nazarko is consultant nurse at West London NHS Trust. Her role is Trust wide and involves seeing, treating and supporting community and inpatients, across London and Berkshire. She works in supporting, enabling and educating nursing and medical staff and working strategically developing and implementing policy. Linda works collaboratively with London Northwest Healthcare delivering training to staff working in acute and community.
She was previously consultant nurse at London North West Healthcare NHS Trust working as a clinician, educator and adviser within inpatients, intermediate care and community. She was also clinical lead for the IV service and for dementia. Linda has set up and managed nurse led services, clinics and inpatient wards.
Linda is a registered general nurse. She has a degree in gerontology, a post graduate diploma in health service management and a master’s degree in nursing from London South Bank University. She also has a post graduate certificate in research methodology from University of West London. She has qualifications in advanced history taking and physical assessment, continence, stoma care and diabetes and is a non medical prescriber.
Linda was awarded a fellowship by the Royal College of Nursing in 2001 and an OBE in 2006.
She has written several books, contributes regularly to nursing journals and lectures nationally and internationally
