Dr Catherine Henshall is a National Institute for Health Research Associate Director of Nursing and Programme Director for the NIHR 70@70 Senior Nurse and Midwife Research Leader Programme. In these roles she is responsible for leading national strategies aimed at supporting nurses to contribute to, undertake and deliver research across England. She is also a Reader in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at Oxford Brookes University and the Head of Research Delivery at Oxford Health NHS Trust. Her research interests include cancer survivorship, self-management, mental health and nursing research workforce development. Her clinical background is in oncology nursing.
