Carol trained in Oxford and worked in the NHS before serving in the Army for 20 years. With postings to Hong Kong and Nepal she also worked in recruitment and training.
She left to join Nuffield Health, the UKs largest healthcare charity, as Matron of their Oxford hospital followed by a regional governance role and then Hospital Director of their Bristol hospital.
Carol left to sail across the Atlantic and Pacific travelling 40,000 nautical miles over the next 7 years. She re-joined Nuffield Health as Clinical Director and Chief Nurse. In 2017 she was appointed Colonel Commandant Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps, a non-executive role.
