Carole has 20 years’ experience working in Infection prevention including Assistant Director of Infection Prevention and Control before moving into Quality Improvement. She is currently working for the Yorkshire and Humber Academic Health Science Network to support healthcare organisations to adopt evidence and innovation into practice.
She led the IV Strategy Group for 15 years in her local hospital and was instrumental in reducing catheter related blood stream infections. She has held roles with the Infection Prevention Society and is currently an IPS Board Member. Carole has led, on behalf of the IPS, the Vessel Health and Preservation working group and has published and presented this work, with team members, both Nationally and Internationally. She has also been providing voluntary support to hospitals in Romania since 2005.
