Lorraine is a dual qualified nurse who has worked in the NHS since 1975,. She currently works at the Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester as a Macmillan Dementia Nurse providing education to staff and supporting patients and carers affected by cancer and co-existing dementia.
Lorraine has presented at several National conferences and has had work published. She was winner of the Nursing Times, Nurse of the Year award in 2014.
Lorraine is passionate about caring for older people and their carers. Her life’s work in gerontology has been about listening and learning from her patients and carers in order to empower them and enhance their care.
