Professor Waterall has had a varied clinical, managerial and academic background, spanning local, regional and national roles within the health and care system in England. He has previously been responsible for several high-profile programmes such as the NHS Health Check and Chair of the National Cardiovascular Disease Prevention System Leadership Forum. He now serves as PHE’s Deputy Chief Nurse, leading on health improvement and workforce related matters, which includes oversight of PHE’s All Our Health & Intensive Parenting programmes.
Jamie guest lectures at a number of universities but specifically holds an Honorary Professor position at the University of Nottingham, where he first trained to be a nurse and undertook his clinical Masters Degree.
