Tissue viability clinical nurse specialist,
Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust
Alison is currently employed as Tissue Viability Clinical nurse specialist for Northern Lincolnshire NHS Foundation Trust.
Alison started her nursing career in Bradford District care foundation trust in a district nurse team as a falls prevention nurse and community staff nurse. This sparked her interest in wound care, eventually joining the Tissue viability team developing skills and knowledge before leading the Pressure Ulcer prevention team in 2014- 2017. She has actively been actively involved in National projects with NHSI Stop the pressure development of a new educational framework; National Stop the Pressure Programme and the National Wound care strategy Programme.
Alison enjoys publishing and presenting on the outcomes of implementations at events and conferences, very active social media participant for promotion of prevention in practice. Also co-founder of #TVN2gether, supporting other Tissue Viability members in the UK, running on-line groups for all staff working or having an interest in wound care.
