Caroline is a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Tissue Viability working in the Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust a large Community and Mental Health Trust. She qualified in 1995 initially working within General Surgery in a large Acute Trust, before moving into Community Nursing in 2001. In 2002 she took a secondment opportunity within the Community Tissue Viability Team before taking a permanent position in 2005. Her particular interests within Tissue Viability include leg ulcer assessment and management and staff and patient education. Midlands Partnership were the winners of the 2018 Nursing Times Innovation in Wound Management Category for their work in standardising leg ulcer assessment and management resulting in improved healing outcomes, better patient experience and closing identified service gaps.
