Maureen is the Head of Patient Safety for the North East Ambulance Service Foundation Trust. Maureen qualified as a registered nurse in 1997 and has worked in both clinical and operational roles across a number of Trusts in the north of England specialising in acute and emergency care. Previous roles have included Emergency Department Sister, Nurse Practitioner, Matron and Service Manager.
Maureen’s focus is to ensure that the quality of patient care delivered is at the heart of the services she is responsible for to meet the health needs of the local population. Maureen is previous Nursing Times 2017 winner in the Enhancing Patient Dignity category for End of Life care.
