Alice is a nursing graduate from the University of Wales College of Medicine with a masters degree in human relations from Nottingham University. She has worked as a clinical nurse in a variety of specialties, including palliative care, oncology, dermatology, haematology, bone marrow transplantation and rheumatology. Throughout her career, in addition to her clinical duties, she has been very involved in education and research. She has a particular interest in strategies to help people manage and live with the difficulties of chronic life long illness and won the Nursing Times Award in 2017 in the HRH Prince of Wales Award for Integrated Approaches to Care category for establishing Tai Chi classes for people living with chronic autoimmune and rheumatic disease.
