I am enjoying a thoroughly rewarding career, last year celebrating 20 years in nursing. My background is in general medicine and toxicology. I became a Practice Nurse in 2011 progressing to an Advanced Nurse Practitioner after completing qualifications in clinical skills and non medical prescribing. I am a Lead Nurse, managing a team within general practice. The Queens Nursing Institute awarded me a grant for my personalised care innovation project and I went on to become a Queens Nurse. I won the Nursing in Primary Care category in the Nursing Times Awards 2024. My special interests include reducing in equalities in care and respiratory.
