I am a qualified Childrens Nurse, and currently work as a Neurodiversity Practitioner on the North Lincolnshire Childrens Neurodevelopmental Pathway at Rotherham, Doncaster, and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust. My role was brand new, and in 2024 I was extremely honoured to receive the Nursing Times Rising Star award, and to be highly commended at the HSJ Patient Safety Awards, in recognition of the development and success of the role, which is now going to be rolled out trust wide. I am extremely passionate about ensuring that neurodiversity related evidence-based information, advice, and support strategies are available to families, and other professionals working with neurodivergent children and young people. I have a diagnosis of Autism and ADHD myself, and, in addition to my goals of supporting children and their families, I strive to be a positive role model to other neurodivergent nurses and healthcare professionals.
