I am an experienced Lead Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Nurse with a career spanning over a decade in the healthcare sector. Beginning in 2011 with a six-month secondment to an IPC team, I have quickly discovered a lifelong passion for infection prevention, which has shaped the trajectory of my professional journey. Recognising the central role that IPC plays in every aspect of healthcare delivery, I have become dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of safety and care for patients. For the past seven years, I have worked as the Lead IPC Nurse at NHS Dorset Integrated Care Board, with an integral part of a collaborative team focused on promoting safety and enhancing patient care through innovative strategies. With a strong commitment to collective leadership and teamwork, I have contributed to the development and implementation of initiatives that drive positive transformation within the healthcare system, ensuring the best outcomes for local communities.
