Louie Horne is a trailblazing healthcare leader and a passionate advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). With over 25 years of experience, she has been instrumental in empowering nurses, advancing workforce representation, and driving transformational change in healthcare. She is Vice President of the Filipino Nurses Association UK (FNAUK) and Senior Strategic Improvement Lead at ESNEFT, leading workforce sustainability and professional development initiatives. As the first Filipino Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES) Clinical Research Fellow at NHS England, she collaborated with the Chief Nursing Officer for England to deliver national EDI initiatives, including Cultural Awareness Training for Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs). Louie chairs FSNAUK, leading 150 senior nurses across the UK. Recognised for her impact, she was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) by King Charles, the Silver CNO Award, and was named in HSJ’s 50 Most Influential BAME Leaders (2022, 2023). She is also a judge for HSJ, Nursing Standard, and Nursing Times.
