Shella is the first Filipino Internationally Educated Nurse to become Chief Nursing Information Officer in the UK. She completed her BSc in Nursing at St. Paul University Manila in 1994. Since relocating to London, she has built a career spanning clinical expertise, leadership, and innovation. Shella initially specialised in renal nursing, but driven by a passion for digital innovation, joined an Electronic Patient Record programme, progressing from Nursing Information Officer to interim Chief Nursing Information Officer. She served as Head of Nursing before returning to digital, where she combines her clinical expertise with leadership in digital transformation. Shella completed her MSc for Healthcare Leadership at the University of Birmingham and is currently undertaking the Nye Bevan Executive Healthcare Leadership Programme. Shella is also a specialist advisor for the Care Quality Commission and regularly volunteers at Inspiring the Future through the charity, Education and Employers.
