
Catherine is an adult and children's nurse, Community Specialist Practitioner in community children's nursing and a Queens Nurse. She took part in the Queens Nursing Institute’s Innovation and Leadership programme and holds a Masters in Social Innovation. Catherine has worked in the UK, Romania and Ecuador. She has an extensive background of working with families in the community setting, as a palliative care nurse, special needs school nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist with families affected by Neurofibromatosis Type 1, and as a Family Nurse and Family Nurse Supervisor. Catherine currently works in Blackpool as the Lead Nurse for the Early Parenthood Service, leading a small but passionate team who support families who identify as needing extra support in the antenatal and early post-natal period “To Be the Best They Can Be”. The Early Parenthood Service was honoured to have been the Nursing Times, Nursing in the Community award winners in 2024.
